NGC 2857 or ARP 1, spiral galaxy type Sc, along with ARP 285 to the lower right, which is comprised of NGC 2856 (spiral galaxy type Sbc) and NGC 2854 (spiral galaxy type type SBb) in Ursa Major. The accretion tail perpendicular to NGC 2856 is also faintly visible.
